How Much Content Is on Pornhub?
Pornhub received about 1.29 million uploads in the first half of 2025, including 854,980 videos and 439,319 photos, according to Statista, based on the company’s transparency reporting.
Its owner, Aylo, says about 8,000 new videos are added to its platforms every day, roughly 2.9 million a year (our calculation), and that it streams more than 13 million hours of video daily, according to its corporate website.
The library was cut sharply in 2020. In December 2020, Pornhub removed more than 10 million unverified videos, shrinking its library from 13.5 million to 2.9 million, about 78.5% of its content (our calculation), according to Tubefilter, shortly after a New York Times investigation into abuse content on the site.
Age Verification and Pornhub Traffic
Pornhub’s traffic has fallen most where age-check rules apply. Visits from France fell 68.93% and from the UK 46.49% between September 2025 and September 2026, according to Semrush country data, compared with a 13.86% decline worldwide; both baselines already followed the first restrictions, and Aylo added its own, such as blocking new UK users in February 2026.
In the UK, Pornhub’s unique visitors fell 31% from July to August 2025, after the Online Safety Act’s age checks took effect, and it had 9.8 million UK visitors in August 2025 versus 11.3 million a year earlier, a 13% drop (our calculation), per Ofcom data reported by The Independent.
