Interest in older women and natural looks also rose. Searches for “GILF” rose 129% and “natural beauty” 124%, per Dazed.

Outlets differ on some figures: Daily Hive gives +238% for “gaming.” The 2026 Super Bowl and Olympics figures are spikes during the events, not year-over-year growth, and some items (role play, podcast, gaming) are categories rather than single searches.
What Porn Do Women Watch?
Lesbian was women’s #1 category on Pornhub in 2025, followed by Japanese, MILF and anal, while men’s list was led by Japanese, according to Tyla. Women made up 38% of Pornhub visitors in 2025, per IBTimes Australia.
Compared with men, women viewed the Reality category 155% more and the “Popular With Women” category 102% more in 2025, per the same report.
Pornhub says women are now about half of its gay-porn audience. They made up 49.7% of its gay-content audience in 2026, up 6.7 points from 43% in 2024 (our calculation), according to Instinct Magazine; in 2015, women accounted for “more than a third” of the site’s gay male porn views, per NBC News.
Other research points the same way. About 20% of the videos women watch on Pornhub feature lesbian scenes, according to Pornhub data reported by Big Think, and 82% of women who watch gay male porn said it was their preferred type in a self-selected sample of 275 women reported by PsyPost.

Researchers find that popular porn often includes aggression, but estimates vary widely. 45% of scenes in a Pornhub sample and 35% on XVideos contained at least one act of physical aggression, mostly spanking, gagging, slapping, hair pulling or choking, with women the target in 97% of those scenes, according to Fritz et al. (2020).
A New Zealand review of the country’s most-viewed Pornhub videos found physical aggression in 10% of them, and 72% were professionally produced, per the NZ Classification Office (2019).
